City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs
Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) provides management assistance and financial support to the myriad of arts and cultural institutions in the City of Dallas. The budget for this program comes from the City's general fund budget as approved by the Dallas City Council, with review by an 18-member Cultural Affairs Commission advisory body. The OCA's work provides access to the diversity of art and culture that is Dallas.

TACA
TACA is a non-profit umbrella organization dedicated to providing financial support and services and to increasing public awareness and participation in the performing arts of North Texas which improve the quality of life for citizens of all economic, social and ethnic backgrounds. In January 2005, TACA distributed $575,000 to 37 performing arts organizations - a 4% increase in distribution dollars over the previous year. TACA began as an auction to benefit the Dallas Theater Center in 1966 and has evolved into a year-round support organization which raises money through various fundraising efforts.

Texas Commission on the Arts
The Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) was established in 1965 by the Texas Legislature. TCA is the state agency charged with the development of a receptive climate for the arts in Texas. It serves constituents in each of the six artistic disciplines (visual arts, theatre, dance, music, media and literature) as well as local arts agencies. For more than 30 years, TCA has accomplished its mission by providing grants, information, and technical assistance to artists, arts organizations, and the general public.

KERA 13 and KERA 90.1 are the public radio and television stations for North Texas, touching the lives of 3.2 million viewers and listeners every week. KERA was founded by local leaders in 1957 based on core public service and education principles much like those subsequently reflected in the Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 that founded a national public broadcasting service. KERA was founded as an educational, cultural and civic institution whose mission is to use the power of television, radio and emerging technologies to enrich the lives of individuals and improve the community. Members of KERA can use their Member Rewards Card to receive $5 off the price of a Regular or Senior Admission ticket to Orpheus Chamber Singers 2005-2006 Season concerts.
