Auditions

Orpheus will hold live auditions on Sunday, May 19 and Monday, May 20. To be considered for a live audition, please submit your prescreening materials by May 5. Candidates will be notified if they have advanced to a live round by May 13.

Orpheus maintains a large master roster, and invites singers to individual projects based on voice type and repertoire needs.

Please note: Orpheus’s mission is to feature singers from the North Texas area, which does include students currently enrolled at local universities.

Orpheus accepts audition materials on a rolling basis. If candidates advance to a live round, they will be notified when the next audition date is set.

1. A resume of singing activities.
2. One or two recorded songs or arias. (You may wish to send two to highlight different aspects of your singing, but it is not required.)
3. A recording of one or two vocal exercises that demonstrate range, timbre, or flexibility of your voice.

The goal is to hear you at your best - singing in your most comfortable, full voice with both the song/aria and exercises.
