We open our season with works by American composers, exploring music that is both ecstatic and introspective. The program includes Jonathan Woody's "I Conquer the World with Words," a collection of spirituals arranged by Undine Smith Moore, Moses Hogan, and William Dawson, and a world premiere by Claudia Beroukhim, winner of our 2026 Student Composition Competition.

This performance also repeats on October 3 at University Park UMC in Dallas, and October 9 at Church Street UMC in Knoxville, TN.
