Inspired by Bach's "St. Matthew's Passion" and based on Hans Christian Andersen's famous story, David Lang's "Little Match Girl Passion" won the 2008 Pulitzer for Music. Four Orpheus soloists - Haley Sicking, Katrina Burggraf, Sammy Sweet, and Hastings Reeves - will bring this story to life.

Our January 23 performance is given in partnership with Dallas Contemporary as part of their DC Empty Series, which brings live performances to their galleries. The evening includes the concert, access to the galleries, and a cash bar.
